Building a pool in your yard makes it easy to enjoy beautiful days and to find an excuse to throw more parties. Use the following tips to maintain your new pool to ensure that it is always ready for use.
Get Rid of Leaves and Debris
Keep a skimmer on hand so you can easily clear off the surface of the pool before you swim. Leaves and other debris can make their way into the water. If you do not skim the pool regularly, this debris could eventually sink, which makes it harder to clean. You should also make an effort to clean out the strainer basket at least once a week so the water is nice and clean.
Vacuum the Pool and Clean the Tiles
Pool vacuums help you clear extra debris out of the water. They also limit the amount of chemicals that you need to add to it to keep it safe for swimming. There are manual and automatic pool vacuums that you can use to get the water extra clean. You should also brush the walls and the tiles to keep buildup and calcium deposits from ruining the aesthetic effect of the pool.
Maintain the Water and the pH Levels
Evaporation and general wear and tear might reduce the water level in the pool. If the water gets too low, it could cause damage. You should periodically check the water levels to make sure they are adequate. You should also test the water regularly to see if it is clean. The pH level should remain between 7.2 and 7.8. Use a testing kit to make sure your pH levels are in this range so the pool is safe to use.
