Programming Your Pentair IntelliCenter Pool Pump

Your pool’s IntelliCenter pump controls the flow of water and it’s important to know how to program this properly. Watch our experts explain how to ensure proper water circulation.

Ricardo: Hi, my name is Ricardo with Pools by Design.

Michelle: And I’m Michelle.

Ricardo: Today, we’re going to be walking you through programming your Pentair Intellicenter pump.

Michelle: Your pump has four programs you can set by pressing the buttons on the control panel. These can run using one of three different modes.

Ricardo: A Manual program will only run when you press that button on the control panel. It will continue until you stop it or it is overridden by a scheduled program.

Michelle: A Scheduled program runs at a specific time during a 24-hour period.

Ricardo: An Egg Timer program will run for a specific duration of time until you press that button.

Michelle: To set your programs, press the Menu button on your control panel. Use the up-down arrows to select Programs 1-8. Then, use the up-down arrows again to select the program you wish to set.

Ricardo: Operation Mode will display on the screen. Press Select. Then, use the up-down arrows to the mode you wish to use for this program. Press Save.

Michelle: Then, use the up-down arrows to scroll to Set Speed Flow. Press Select. Use the up-down arrows to adjust these settings. Then press Save.

Ricardo: For a Manual program, this is all you need to do.

Michelle: For a scheduled program, you will need to scroll down to Start Time, then press Select. You can use the left-right arrows to move between the minutes and hours, and the up-down arrows to adjust the time. Press Save.

Ricardo: Press the down arrow until you see Stop Time. Press Save.

Michelle: For an egg timer program, you will need to scroll down to Egg Timer Duration after setting the speed and flow. Press Select. Then, use the up-down arrows to set the duration. Then press Save.

Ricardo: You can do this for each of the four programs on your control panel. There are also additional programs, 5 through 8, that can be set. But these can only be in Scheduled mode.
