An Update on How COVID-19 Affects Pool Building

If you want to have a new custom swimming pool for the summer, it is best to start the pool building process as early as possible. However, the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic has introduced new concerns for homeowners who were ready to build a custom pool. At Pools by Design, we are continuing to monitor this situation closely. We are following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as well as local, state, and federal regulations. We remain open with some modifications to our operation. These changes have been implemented to protect the health of our community, clients, and employees.

We believe that our business is especially important as families in Arizona are being asked to reduce outside contact with no access to gyms and other public facilities. A pool, spa, or hot tub in your backyard is an ideal way for your family to focus on health and wellbeing.

How we are handling the current situation:

Virtual Pool Building Consultations

If you are a current client or are considering building a new pool or spa, our team is available for virtual consultations via Zoom. This allows us to start planning for pool construction before the summer swimming season. These meetings will be the same as they would be if we held them in our office. They will cover design options, financial considerations, and any other questions you may have about your new pool.

Pool Construction

We are sensitive to current stay-at-home orders and have implemented safety practices that all of our employees and construction contractors must follow. Our pre-construction meetings, as well as the construction process itself, will take place outdoors in your backyard. This allows us to proceed with creating your pool while following social distancing guidelines to keep you safe. The airflow outdoors greatly reduces the risk of transmission. We also ensure that anyone who is experiencing symptoms does not come to our work sites.

Essential Business

We are considered an essential business under Arizona Governor Doug Ducey’s executive order. As a result, we are still open and able to construct your new pool. We are taking all necessary precautions and moving to virtual meetings when possible. This allows us to keep you safe while still starting the process of creating your dream pool and having you swimming by summer.
